The Cardfolio app

Your collection stays on your device. The cards you add, your photos, grades, cost basis, and values are stored locally on your iPhone. They are not uploaded to a server, tied to an account, sold, or shared. There is no Cardfolio account and no cloud sync. Deleting the app, or using Settings → Delete account, removes this data.

Camera & photos. The camera is used only while scanning, to identify a card. Photos you capture or attach become that card’s image and stay on your device. The app does not access your photo library in the background.

Card pricing & imagery. To show prices and images, the app sends card details (player, set, year, number) to pricing and listing providers, SportsCardsPro / PriceCharting and eBay. These requests contain card information only, never your name, email, or any account identifier. No personal data is shared with them.

No tracking. The app runs no third-party analytics, advertising, or behavioral tracking, does not use the Advertising Identifier, and does not request App Tracking permission.

Estimates, not advice. Values and flip estimates are references compiled from market data and modeling, not live quotes, appraisals, or financial advice.

What we collect (waitlist)

When you join the waitlist, you provide your email address. We also store an optional referral source (the “ref” field) if one is present in the URL when you sign up. That is the entire scope of personal data we collect on this site.

We do not collect names, phone numbers, location data, device identifiers, or payment information. We do not require you to create an account.

How we store it

Waitlist submissions are sent to a private Google Sheet through a Google Apps Script webhook. Access to that sheet is limited to the founder. We do not sync it to a third-party CRM, marketing tool, or analytics platform.

No tracking, no ads, no selling

This site runs no third-party analytics, no advertising pixels, no social-media trackers, and no behavioral fingerprinting. We do not sell, rent, license, or otherwise share your email with any third party for marketing purposes.

How we use your email

Your email is used solely to send you launch updates and beta invitations for Cardfolio. The volume is low, typically a handful of messages per year, and every message includes an unsubscribe path.

Your rights

You can request access to the data we hold about you, ask for a correction, or have it deleted entirely. To do so, email davis@getcardfolio.app from the address you signed up with. Deletion requests are honored within 30 days; in most cases, much sooner.

If you are in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have rights under the GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. The same email address handles those requests.

Children

Cardfolio is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted their email, contact us and we will remove the record.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect waitlist data, but no internet transmission or storage system is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify waitlist members by email.

Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in U.S. courts of competent jurisdiction.
